The X Factor has been shaken up for its new season, with already famous people going head to head for a new record deal.
The re-vamped show is set to land on our screens on Saturday 12th October, with 14 celebrity acts competing to change their career path or land themselves a new deal.
“It’s time for something different,” says Simon Cowell.
“And they’re competing for a record contract,” adds Nicole Scherzinger in the promo for the show.
This new take on the TV show will see the likes of reality star turned singer Megan McKenna star, as well as Eyal Booker from Love Island who will join Samira Mighty, Wes Nelson and Zara McDermott as a band.
Elsewhere, social media influencers Alondra Martinez, Natalie Valerin, Sofia Oliveira, Wendii Sarmiento and Laura Buitrago are forming a girl band for the series.
Simon told The Sun:”The time feels right, and it will be a huge change. I think it’s going to be huge, it’s the best I’ve felt about this show in years.'”
Wes Nelson previously revealed his musical ambition when he told The Sun he’s “caught the performance bug” and is “singing all the time”.
In an exclusive interview he said: “I’ve caught the performance bug now. When you finish a routine, you get that overwhelming feeling.
“Performing is so enjoyable and I see why everyone loves it now. I sang on Love Island but producers never showed it because of copyright reasons. We were singing all the time.”
Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger will return to their seats as judges and of course Dermot O’Leary will resume as host. X-Factor wouldn’t be X-Factor without him.
