The internet, and in particular online shopping, is meant to make our lives easier, but if anything I find it even more exhaustive than shopping in real life.
There’s just too much choice; scrolling through ASOS’s t-shirt range is like trying to find a needle in a haystack; in fact, I think I’d rather shop for clothes in the perennial mess that is TK Maxx – and that’s saying something.
Half the problem is me though; I can’t be bothered sending stuff back once it’s arrived, meaning my wardrobe is full of clothes I don’t like/that don’t fit me and my bank account is drained by said unused clothes.
Yep, the perils of online shopping are nearly endless. But don’t take my word for it – these next people found out the hard way that what’s advertised can often be markedly different to what arrives.
It’s enough to put you off buying forever, isn’t it?
