Who’d a thought it?!
But yeah, there’s one, or at least one that people actually care about, and it’s been over for 15 years.
I know it was massive at the time but did anyone ever expect it to be this talked about after all these years? I would say the actors are sick of hearing about it but I’m not sure they are with all the money they’re still creaming off it.
While devoted Friends fans eagerly sit around waiting for a reunion (spoiler alert: it ain’t gonna’ happen) there’s at least this next exciting bit of news to keep you ticking over.
A Friends musical is coming to the UK this summer, people!
Celebrating the show’s 25th anniversary, Friendsical, written by Miranda Larson, is a ‘loving-parody’ based on the lives of Joey, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe and Ross, and will kick off just like the pilot.
‘When Ross’ wife leaves him for another woman,’ teases the synopsis, ‘he fears he will never find love again.’
‘But then Rachel runs back into his life… will he end up with his one true love?’
I pray he does.
Joey and the gang take on naked Thursdays, a power cut, and a dinosaur convention and there’ll be original songs such as ‘(He’s her) Lobster!’, ‘Richard’s Moustache’ and ‘You’re Over Me? When Were You Under Me?
Sadly I don’t think it will have Ross’ character playing his keyboards/bagpipes but if it did I’d pay extra dollar dollar.
The musical will kick-off in July, followed by a full season at the Edinburgh Fringe in August. Friendsical UK Tour will then play a host of UK venues including Newcastle, Blackpool and Croydon.

In other Friends-related news, FriendsFest, including Friends-themed food stalls, a cocktail bar and a Friends quiz is also coming to the UK.
“Fans will be treated to four new photo op experiences, including the fan favourite Thanksgiving floating heads moment, and the iconic three wedding dress shot,” say organisers, Comedy Central.
“You can chill out in Monica and Rachel’s apartment, go across the corridor for a beer at Joey and Chandler’s, enjoy a coffee in Central Perk and see Ross’s apartment.”
Here’s the dates you need for that:
2 – 18 August: Heaton Park, Manchester
23 August – 1 September: Blaise Castle Estate, Bristol
6 – 15 September: Willen Lake, Milton Keynes
20 – 29 September: Kennington Park, London
Tickets can be purchased from the FriendsFest website
