I made my friend – someone who isn’t a huge Marvel fan – wait around until the end of the very long credits to see what would happen next, but nothing. He wasn’t happy about it and I was a little bit pissed off.
Telling us that there isn’t a post-credits scene isn’t a spoiler, Joe and Anthony. Come on, I get that you want to thank all of the people that worked on the film but you wound me up there.
But things have changed, since a post-credits scene has been added to the three-and-a-bit hour-long film… sort of.
I say sort of because while it technically is a post-credits thing, it’s not necessarily a scene. Basically, it’s the latest Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer…
Why they’ve decided to add that on now is utterly beyond me; I suppose Marvel wanted to let their viewers wind down after the emotional roller-coaster, but won’t people be seeing a Spider-Man trailer before the film anyway?
You can watch the trailer here, by the way. You don’t need to go back to the cinema for it…
It does look good, doesn’t it? The fallout from Endgame is definitely there and it’s good to see Tony Stark get the recognition he deserves for saving the universe.
Also, hello Jake Gyllenhaal. He’s a sexy man, isn’t he? And what a costume. I’m really looking forward to seeing him join the MCU.
It seems pretty obvious that he’s going to be the villain of the piece, I just hope he doesn’t get killed off straight away. We can all do with a little bit of Gyllenhaal in our lives; especially if he’s wearing a cape.
But yeah, if you’re going to see Endgame again, then wait around ten minutes after the closing scene to see something you’ve already seen before.
Mind you, if you’re watching Endgame again, you clearly don’t mind watching things more than once.
Suppose you can’t watch Endgame on YouTube though…
Do what you like. I’m not your mum. Unless…

Alfie Powell joined as an apprentice and was probably hired because he was likely the only person who applied. He's been blagging his way through writing articles for four years now and he's definitely showing signs of slowing down. When not writing for The Hook, Alfie finds time to indulge in his favourite hobbies, such as drinking and sitting down.Follow
