According to Deadline, Netflix has opted not to order a third season of the mind-bending, body-swapping sci-fi series Altered Carbon, which has left plenty of fans less than impressed.

There’s been an increasing amount of frustration with Netflix over recent months, with fans becoming confused by the platform’s decision to cancel shows that have barely got going.

Altered Carbon has become a cult favourite over the years, although the eight-episode season 2, starring Anthony Mackie, was met with mixed reviews. In March, though, it also released an anime spinoff called Altered Carbon: Resleeved.

Deadline reports that the cancellation is not COVID-relate,  but “stems from the streamer’s standard viewership vs. cost renewal review process.”

With that, many fans have been left seriously disappointed.
