According to Deadline, Netflixhas elected not to buy a third season of the mind-bending, body-swapping sci-fi thriller Altered Carbon, which has left lots of fans less than impressed.
Fans have been more frustrated with Netflixin recent months as the streaming service's decision to axe shows just as they were getting started has left many perplexed.
Throughout the years, Altered Carbon has developed a cult following, even though the eight-episode second season, starring Anthony Mackie, received mixed reviews. Altered Carbon: Resleeved, an anime spinoff, was also published in March.
According to Deadline, the cancellation "stems from the streamer's usual audience vs. cost renewal review process" rather than being related to COVID. That has left a lot of fans feeling extremely let down.
The Warp Zone says, "Alright 2020, how you gonna suck toda–NETFLIX: ALTERED CARBON CANCELLED!"
Rodney says, "Netflix making 3 ‘Kissing Booth’ movies and somehow dragged ‘13 Reasons Why’ to 4 seasons. But they’re cancelling Altered Carbon, a phenomenal ass show, after 2 seasons. That don’t sit right with me in the slightest."
Pedro Type 40 says,"What the fuck are you doing @netflix? Don't you dare take #AlteredCarbon away from us. You've an awesome series, with an awesome asian cast. Fix that shit, stop canceling good shows."
Several cast members tweeted in response to the information:
Will Yun Lee says:
What a great ride it has been on #AlteredCarbon !! Thanks to all the fans that tuned in for both seasons❤️🤙🏽 Takeshi Kovacs, one of my fav characters I’ve gotten to play!
Chris Conner says, "He was a great character and I’ll miss him❤️And I got to work with so many great people. Thanks @netflix & @skydance ❤️ On to the next! #alteredcarbon #poe"

Another Life, which has been renewed for a second season, and the most recent addition, Away, are on Netflix's sci-fi lineup.

Their kids have embraced storytelling at an early age. Little Lucy, age 5, dictates her colorful tales about dragons and princesses to her parents.
