Fans of Arctic Monkeys finally have something to be excited about, after a new live album has been announced.

Recorded at the Royal Albert Hall in London back in 2018, proceeds from the album will go to the charity War Child, supporting children recovering from the physical and psychological toll of surviving war.

The live set was recorded as part of the Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino tour, and it will be available on double-vinyl, CD, and to download digitally.

Like many charities in 2020, thanks to the pandemic War Child are facing a huge deficit in funds thanks to the usual fundraising events being cancelled. They’re currently looking at a $2.6 million deficit.

The band wrote on Twitter: “The situation that was bad in 2018 is now desperate and those children and their families need our help more than ever.”

Proceeds from the original gig also went to War Child.
