Baileys are making our Christmases once again with the return of their festive yule log, a heavenly dessert made with the addition of their famous Irish cream liqueur.
The word that springs to mind when enjoying a Baileys tipple is simply ‘luxury’, with the whiskey-cream liqueur having gone down a treat for over 30 years since its establishment in Dublin.
If the classic Baileys liqueur wasn’t enough to send us into overdrive, the company has been shaking it up by creating decadent desserts featuring their signature flavour.
This includes the Baileys Chocolate Yule Log- a mouth-wateringly delicious chocolatey dessert comprising of a chocolate sponge rolled into the traditional festive yule log shape, filled with chocolate frosting and topped off with a milk chocolate coating followed by Baileys frosting and a sprinkling of chocolate curls.
In other words, chocolate…and then some.
For anyone with a sweet tooth and a partiality to a Baileys tipple, this will be the perfect dessert for them this Christmas.
The Baileys product is due to return to Asda stores in time for Christmas this year, and you’ll probably see me at the front of the queues.
Costing £5, it’ll serve 8 people around your table this Christmas, or alternatively 1 if you plan on polishing it off yourself like me.
It’s a fair bargain as well, with eight portions costing around 62.5p in total- so it’s totally worth cashing out on.
Well, there’s recently been the announcement of a Scrumptious Salted Caramel Baileys liqueur, which I’ve also just casually added to my shopping list…
To see some of the delicious recipes you could make with it, visit the Baileys recipe section of their website
There’s also new Baileys Salted Caramel Cupcakes, which come in a pack of 9 chocolate cupcakes with a Baileys flavour frosting and caramel drizzle.
All the more a reason to add ‘Baileys food and drink’ to your Christmas shopping list this year.
