Netflix has released a trailer for a new episode of Black Mirror – ‘Striking Vipers’.

The 55-second trailer was shared on the official Black Mirror Twitter account with the caption: “Is there someplace else you’d rather be?”

Information about the upcoming fifth season of Charlie Brooker’s dystopian anthology series has been scarce until recently, but Entertainment Weekly shared a first glimpse of the show with Anthony Mackie facing off with Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

Speaking about the mysterious photo, Charlie Brooker said: “It’s the Marvel-DC crossover no one saw coming.”

And then out of nowhere, the trailer arrived.

All of the actors – including Miley Cyrus – can be spotted in the trailer, which hints that the episodes will be tackling technology’s impact on marriage, self-esteem, fame, social media and mental health. The first look at the season reveals an Alexa-like doll from the future, a cell-phone induced assault and a VR escape for Cyrus.

“Love, privacy, connection, sex, family, work and afterlife” are the words that flash among the clips.

And following that, the first clip of the one of the episodes has dropped – and heeeeeere it is!

The Netflix synopsis reads: “Two estranged college friends reunite in later life, triggering a series of events that could alter their lives forever.”

Along with Avengers: Endgame star Anthony Mackie, the episode stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Nicole Beharie, Pom Klementieff and Ludi Lin.

Black Mirror will debut all three episodes of Season 5 on Wednesday, June 5th.
