That was the case until now, it seems, as one bride-to-be found out that her fiance was cheating on her, and definitely came out the victor. This comes after a woman posted on Whimn, revealing how she read the texts of her cheating fiance out at their wedding ceremony…
The bride (who we’ll cunningly call Bridey) was enjoying drinks with her friends the night before the big day when she got sent a flurry of messages from an anonymous number. Within these messages were screenshots of messages between the texter and the groom (Groomy?).
The screenshots were accompanied by selfies from the texter taken with Groomy, along with the message “I wouldn’t marry him. Will you?”
The messages ranged in time from sending from months ago to just days before.
Bridey said that she immediately realised what was going on and felt ridiculous for not realising sooner, as the messages read things such as:
“This weekend. You and I. It is on, hot stuff. Bring your A game.“
“Your body is f*cking incredible. And sh*t do you know how to use it. I wish my GF had half the skills you do.“
God what a generic bad-boy character he is.
While her friends immediately advised that she call of the wedding, but Bridey decided to sleep on it. The next day she knew exactly what to do. When everyone was at the wedding, instead of reading vows, Bridey would out Groomy as the cheater he was.
So she walked down the aisle, turned around and declared:
“There will be no wedding today. It seems Alex is not who I thought he was.“
As she said that, she recalled that shock took over the church, whilst Groomy tried to take her hand. She evaded him and carried on with what she has to say.
Apparently the colour drained from her fiance’s face, with him promptly storming out of the church, followed by his best man.
Bridey then said:
“I love all of you and as horrible as this is I’m glad you all are here. There will not be a wedding reception today, but instead, there will be a celebration of honesty, finding true love and following your heart even when it hurts.“
As she has it, what followed was “one hell of a party”.
Obviously it’s a shame what happened but, I suppose, at least she got a story out of it?
Probably not a consolation, in hindsight.
