Man, I can’t get enough of that Jake guy and erm, Terry Crews. Boy, they’re hilarious!
I could literally sit here for hours and talk about my love for the 99 and share my thoughts on the last 6 (?) seasons but sadly I’ve got other cop comedies to write about.
It goes without saying that a B99 superfan like me has obviously already seen every episode multiple times, including season 6 which has been on the airwaves over in the U, S and A.
But now, UK fans, your time has come, as season 6 is set to air on E4 later this month!
Yep, the premiere date is set at Thursday March 28 at 9pm, with Channel 4’s viewers Twitter account recently sharing the good news.
Of course the show has endured a ropey few months what with those evil f*cks at Fox cancelling it. Thankfully, though, those angels at NBC saved the day by picking the series up just a day later.
This comes after season 5 was added to Netflix – seen it, loved it – and the news that the series has been renewed for a seventh season.
The news was actually broken during a table read with the show’s cast and crew, and it’s fair to say they were pretty over the moon about it. But not as much as me.
It certainly came as a welcome relief to star Andy Samberg who admitted after the move that there were “a lot of question marks” over the show’s future.
“I will say we’re all still really loving making it, and that the episodes still feel really funny and interesting and exciting to us,” he said earlier this year.
“It’s a huge testament to the writers; they’re doing such an incredible job. The sort of renewed feeling of interest from the outside world, and the fanbase of the show, and this sort of big surge of attention the show’s getting on social media – that’s really exciting.”
I could tell you what to expect from season 6 having already seen it, as I say, multiple times, but I just don’t want to ruin it for you.
What I will say is that it’s funny, really great and everything fans like us hoped for and more.
You’re in for a treat.
(Can you tell I’ve never seen it?)

Charismatic, witty, charming, engaging - four things Joshua Rogers will never be. Thankfully, he’s a semi-competent writer, who, after graduating university with two mostly pointless degrees, joined The Hook two years ago. Since then, he has honed his writing skills over the course of various sex related articles. Now, at the tender age of 26, he’s finally finished experimenting with (on) himself.
