Greta Thunberg has captivated the world since her impassioned speech at a recent UN summit – for good or bad – where she criticised world leaders for failing to act to save the environment.
However, not everyone believes in the existential threat we’re all facing as a result of climate change. Many think climate change is just a result of natural changes in temperature and aren’t quite ready to accept the apocalypse is around the corner like many of the ‘fear-mongering’ democrats/left seem to think.
Which is perhaps why this next father has decided to remove his son from his school after disagreeing with the climate change syllabus.
Thirty-eight-year-old Matt Karlos, who hails from Australia, was reportedly incensed about the way in which his son Max was taught about the issue of global warming. Karlos believes that scaremongering teachers are trying to make his son paranoid about an oncoming end of the world, and has decided to move him to a different school as a result.
He added that he didn’t want his son dressed up as “a bunch of dole-bludging, drug-taking hippies who strap themselves to roads and do nothing with their lives”.
Not holding back here.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, he said: “There are about 50 of them on our road all the time, protesting against my family’s water company – we go past them everyday so Max knows what they’re about, and he’s not interested. The Greens have an arrogance about them. They think if you’re not with them, you’re for the destruction of the planet and you’re completely against them.”
“Max is pretty head-strong and sure of himself – a lot like me – and after the hippy thing he was done, and wanted to change schools. The teachers are making the kids terrified of the future – they’re scaring them by telling them mankind caused climate change – the ideologies were in his face all the time,” Karlos added.
Matt, a pilot, said that he thought the discussion around science-backed climate change theories relating to the effect that humans have had on the global environment was based on a political agenda.
He continued: “They should be dressing as farmers or labourers or people who work hard, not pushing the Green agenda – they should be learning about good agricultural practices and land management in farming.
“The teachers are making the kids terrified of the future – they’re scaring them by telling them mankind caused climate change – the ideologies were in his face all the time.”
As I say, this whole climate change coverage has been accelerated over the past few weeks thanks to Greta Thunberg.
In fact, she’s even the favourite to win a Nobel Peace Prize next week.
