Not content with breaking the internet when he joined Instagram, David Attenborough is now breaking hearts with his latest documentary on Netflix, A Life On Our Planet.

It was released over the weekend on Netflix and viewers have been describing it as harrowing watching, with many brought to tears.

Some are even pledging to change their ways and make big differences in their life going forward after watching the documentary.

A Life On Our Planet documents the huge changes that Attenborough has witnessed throughout his lifetime, and the devastating future that awaits us if we don’t make drastic changes, fast.

Over half a century ago, man went to the moon. David was watching from a television studio at the time and was fascinated at seeing our world from space for the very first time. Sir David says: “The natural world is failing. The evidence is all around. It’s happening in my lifetime. I’ve seen it with my own eyes.

But the harsh realities laid out by the 94-year-old left many viewers questioning their own role in the havoc that humans have wreaked on the world.

Sir David broke records when he joined Instagram, becoming the person to reach 1 million followers the fastest. He beat Jennifer Aniston’s time by 32 minutes, as he managed it in 4 hours and 44 minutes. He now has over 5.5 million followers.
