This morning we brought you the news that a man was wanted by Blackpool police in connection with the theft of some beers.

It caught the attention of everyone because he’s an absolute dead ringer for Ross from Friends.

Take a look.

People started sharing it via social media with various Friends related jokes, including: “I was going to read the report for this but it was 18 pages… FRONT AND BACK! It rambled on for so long that I fell aslEEP”, “I don’t think it’s been this guy’s day, his week, his month or even his year,” and “Clearly stole the cans when the security guard was ON A BREAK!!”

We thought it would stop there.

We were wrong.

David Schwimmer has only gone and responded to the video with his OWN version which hilarious mocks the whole thing by featuring the actor walking around in a store with a load of beers looking particularly shifty.

Check it out below:

He captioned it:

Officers, I swear it wasn’t me.
As you can see, I was in New York.
To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation.

How great is that?!

Honestly, sometimes the internet can be a wonderful thing.

From Blackpool to New York ey, who’d have thought it.
