You’ll have seen by now the news that Kylie Jenner has been named the world’s youngest self-made billionaire.

It was a story published by Forbes, who I suppose have gone from reporting on the world of genuine business, investment and stocks to trying to piss off as many people as possible with one headline.

You have to admire their graft.

As you might have suspected, this headline didn’t go unchallenged and a lot of people were genuinely maddened by the headline designed to madden them.

Obviously the big complaint was that Kylie Jenner absolutely isn’t self-made and I guess there’s arguments for both sides there. Would she have all of this money if she wasn’t born into her family? Probably not. Has she done more than most kids born into rich families, including any of her sisters? Yeah.

Nonetheless, someone or something piped up that no-body assumed had anything to say; the dictionary.

In a temporary state of sentience, the dictionary took to Twitter to bemoan the face that Kylie was named a self-made billionaire, posting this…

Dictionary dot com, behave yourself.

To the good book’s credit, that is quite funny.

The responses seemed to agree with the sentiment…

But listen, Dictionary.com really know what they’re talking about. Just look at this…

I’ve always rated those guys.

Meanwhile, level-headed as always, Piers Morgan decided to weigh in onย Good Morning Britain, slamming the 21-year-old for not being really self-made.

He claimed that if Kylie’s half-sister, Kim Kardashian, hadn’t had her infamous tape with Ray J leaked, then none of the Kardashians or Jenners would have been nearly as famous as they were today.

If Kim Kardashian hadn’t made that tape that then got leaked… She took ownership of it, made millions, and made a family franchise out of it… None of them would have ever been heard of.

When you say ‘self made’, her sister [recorded the infamous video] with somebody, the tape got leaked, and the whole family cashed in.

That I think is a more accurate account of this thrilling entrepreneurial story.

He then went on to say that Kylie isn’t even that good-looking, explaining:

I would have her at number four on the list of Kardashians, and the ones above her aren’t much better. I’m not being rude, the only hot Kardashian is Kendall, the others… None of them are hot!

If they weren’t Kardashians […] they would not get into the average, top Croydon night club – and the bar is set pretty low in Croydon.

Kendall is the only one you can honestly say is model quality, Kylie is as dim as a lump of bread, [the rest of the whole Kardashian/Jenner family being] vacuous, talentless twerps.”
