You can’t go wrong with a good Christmas advert and the new one from Disney UK has hit everyone right in the feels.

If you cried at Pixar’s Up, you’ll need the tissues for this.

It features a grandmother who goes by the name of Lola (which is also Tagalog for grandmother) and her grandaughter, with the story centering around a much-loved Mickey Mouse doll that Lola receives as a little girl in the 1940s.

It stays with her throughout her life, as they make traditional Filipino parol star decorations together as the years pass by.

Mickey’s ear accidentally gets damaged and the granddaughter leaves him behind. Realising this has hurt her Lola she repairs his ear and decorates the house with many parol stars.

Disney UK has teamed up with the Make A Wish Foundation, and the Mickey Mouse doll from the advert is available to buy online with money going to the organisation, to fulfill the wishes of children with critical illnesses.

Disney wants you to share your own festive memories using #LoveFromDisney.

The advert is set to the song ‘Love Is A Compass‘ by UK-based musician Griff. The 19-year-old singer-songwriter is Ivor Novello Rising Star nominee, and all proceeds from the song are also going to the Make A Wish foundation.

Many fans are touched by the attention to detail for their culture.

Disney UK says the advert is inspired by togetherness, nostalgia, and family.

Several other Christmas adverts have been released over the last week, including this cute one from TKMaxx.

Who doesn’t love a stylish farm animal, and Lil’ Goat wears it well.

Asda’s advert has left a lot to be desired for many.

Kevin The Carrot is back in Aldi’s ad, with a little help from a hedgehog friend.
