Hot on the heels of All-Stars 5 and Canada’s Drag Race, the cast for the first series of Drag Race Holland has been revealed and fans are amazed.
The show is set to premiere on September 18, with a cast of 10 incredible queens vying for the crown. The Dutch version of the show is due to be hosted by presenter and stylist Fred van Lee. The new queens were announced on Twitter last night, and to say that fans are impressed is an understatement.
Don’t they look incredible? Here are the queens taking part, in the order they were announced.
Miss Abby OMG
Brazilian-Dutch Miss Abby is hugely popular on Instagram following her Transformation Tuesday posts.
ROEM is a digital queen, and is well known by Dutch fans already for running RaPal Dark Res, a YouTube satire series.
Already hugely popular on Twitter following the announcement, ChelseaBoy describes themselves as a “gender hybrid transformer”.
Janey Jacké is Holland’s version of Divina De Campo – she even appeared on their version of All Together Now, just like Divina. A well known musical performer, she might be popular.
Ma’Ma Queen is a non-binary queen and they like to push the boundaries, but they’re proud of their inclusivity on the scene. Ma’Ma says they use drag to break down and explore gender constructs.
There’s been a flurry of excitement already about Drag Race’s first bearded queen, and Madame Madness is here to serve. She tries to spread the message that “being different is allowed”.
A fashion queen hailing from Peru, Envy has worked with the likes of NikkieTutorials and has already appeared in Netherlands’ Vogue.
The only Flemish queen, despite being only 26 Sederginne has been performing for 9 years already and is a confident comedy queen.
Patty Pam-Pam is the most experienced queen at 34, and says she’s a triple threat of singing, dancing and prancing.
Megan is a pageant queen, having won 23 no.1 titles in her career at the age of 32.
Based on likes of the Twitter announcements, fans are loving Envy Peru, Miss Abby OMG, ChelseaBoy and Madame Madness most. Fans are very excited that after 17 series across multiple countries, Drag Race finally has a bearded queen in Madame Madness. (Remember the fuss Crystal caused with a hairy chest and underarms on Drag Race UK?)
The Drag Race UK queens were very impressed by their new sisters.
