Eminem is famously quite closed off when it comes to discussing his family life in public (except when he’s singing about killing his wife and/or his mother), but he recently spoke about his love for his daughters.

Slim Shady, now 47-years-old, which seems utterly ridiculous, has not been shy about how proud he is to be a father recently, and even before all of this started a public beef with Machine Gun Kelly after he made comments about Hailie.

Now 23, Hailie is the daughter of the veteran rapper and his ex-wife Kimberly Scott. She recently finished her studies at Michigan State University alongside her long-time boyfriend Evan McClintock, who she met at the university.

Eminem recently appeared on Mike Tyson’s Hot Boxin’ podcast, where he spoke about his family life, first talking about Hailie, saying:

Hailie is 23, no babies, she has a boyfriend, but she’s doing good.

She’s made me proud for sure, she’s graduated from college“.

Eminem also adopted Whitney, who is the daughter of ex-wife Kim and another partner of hers, as well as her niece Alaina, who he has more or less raised.

Speaking of his other daughters, the proud father added:

It definitely is crazy.

I have a niece that I have helped raise too that’s pretty much like a daughter to me and she is 26. And I have a younger one that’s 17 now.

So when I think about my accomplishments that’s probably the thing I’m the most proud of is that – is being able to raise kids“.

Hailie has become a popular Instagram star

The reason for Eminem’s appearance comes die to the release of his new music video for Godzilla.

The Cole Bennett-directed music video came out yesterday on Monday 30th March, featuring a tribute to the late rapper Juice Wrld.

Prior to this, Eminem’s most recent public appearance was at the Oscars, where he surprised many by performing Lose Yourself.

Speaking to Variety, Eminem explained that the surprise 2020’s performance was his chance to seize the spotlight after previously turning down the opportunity to perform at the 2003 ceremony.

I kinda figured maybe since I didn’t get a chance to do it at the time, maybe it would be cool”, he said.

Back then, I never even thought that I had a chance to win, and we had just performed ‘Lose Yourself’ on the Grammys with The Roots a couple of weeks before the Oscars, so we didn’t think it was a good idea. And also, back at that time, the younger me didn’t really feel like a show like that would understand me.

Good on him.
