But then two things happened that changed all that.
Tiger King and Coronavirus.
Both have ultimately made me rethink a lot of things and you know what Netflix, you’ve kept this customer for at least another month.
Having said that, very much against my own wishes (like everything in my relationship) my girlfriend and I watched Dead To Me a while back, a series I set out to hate but very much enjoyed.
The black comedy series – led by Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini – follows a real estate agent named Jen (Applegate) who recently lost her husband in a hit-and-run incident. While attending grief counselling, Jen meets Judy (Cardellini) – a woman who tells her that she also recently lost her own husband
The two women strike up an unlikely friendship, and as their friendship blossoms, Jen begins searching for her husband’s killer. It’s got a little bit of everything in it, which is perhaps why a second season was commissioned so quickly.
And now the full trailer is here for season 2.
Check it out:
The streaming platform initially announced a teaser trailer with a tweet, as well as when it would be dropping.
“No one can ever know what happened. Except us. Dead To Me Season 2 premieres May 8 on Netflix,” read the cryptic tweet.
Details are pretty scarce, but as I say thinks are pretty much just picking up from where season 1 left off.
Liz Feldman, who created the show, recently told The Hollywood Reporter: “It would be the pleasure and honour of my life to do this show for as many seasons as makes sense. I would do this show forever if I could.
“This show will always be a show that explores the dark sides and the light sides of grief, loss, forgiveness, and friendship. So suffice to say, there will be more darkness.
“There’s an evening of the score and there’s a rebalancing that will take place and almost, in some ways, a role reversal.”
Dead To Me season 2 arrives 8th May.
