Spoiler alert! If you haven’t seen the latest GoT episode then turn away. This is probably the only time I’ll tell you not to read one of my articles.

Game Of Thrones fans are split down the middle on the latest episode of season 8 – “The Bells”. They took to Twitter to share some of their criticisms.

I’m going to level with you: I set my alarm for 05:30 AM this morning in order to get up and watch Game Of Thrones and I hit the snooze button straight away.

That means, because of work and all, I’m yet to see the episode, so yeah, this article has completely ruined the episode for me. But someone had to take a bullet for the Hook team and it just so happened it was me.

The owe me, they owe me big.

However, one scroll through Twitter this morning quickly revealed that after weeks of building it up, the thoroughly predictable character arc of Daenerys turning into the Mad Queen has become realised.

King’s Landing has been left in tatters, as has Jon and Dany’s relationship, and people aren’t happy about it.

In fact, it looks like it might be the most divisive episode in Thrones history. There’s a healthy mix of good and bad reactions, so here’s a nice little summery of the sentiment on the web.

Some actually liked what happened with Daenerys:

Others completely hated her treatment:

But don’t get them started on Jon, who they think has been pretty useless this season:

And Cersei’s fate? A bit of a letdown…

Although there was a lot of love for the Mountain vs the Hound, otherwise known as “Cleganebowl”:

Others, however, felt generally disappointed by it:

I mean, there’s no point in me watching it anymore is there? Twitter’s decided: it’s a crap episode…

Thankfully I’m not that easily swayed on things so I’ll make my own mind up.

Stay tuned for my thoughts.
