The only thing better than a takeaway is a free takeaway.
How does a whole year of free takeaways sound? We promise it’s not too good to be true, Deliveroo is looking to hire three food reviewers.
So what does it involve? Deliveroo want you to taste test the food from restaurants that they deliver for.
If you’re one of the chosen ones, you’ll get a year’s worth of free takeaway credit – valued at a whopping £3,120. That works out at around £60 per week to spend.
These new roles are hoping to find any ‘hidden gems’ on the app.
Any hidden gem restaurants singled out by the new ‘Rooviewers’ are in with a chance of featuring in future Deliveroo ad campaigns.
It’s not just testing restaurants on your doorstep, either. The lucky Rooviewers will sample food from over the UK.
The hard part will be choosing what to try. Chinese, indian, a chippy tea or something fancier.
Who Can Apply?
To be a Rooviwer, you should enjoy a wide variety of cuisines and flavours (sweet, spicy, savoury and so on.) You should be familiar with food from big chains but also be willing to try food from local independent restaurants.
You must also have ‘a sense of culinary adventure’ – so no ordering from the same place over and over again.
To be chosen you must be able to clearly articulate any opinions on food into written or visual reviews.
If chosen, you’ll be writing reviews of your ‘food experiences’ using the credit you’ve been given to buy takeaways.
You’ll have to take photos and videos of you taste-testing the food. These would then be used on Deliveroo’s social channels and blog during the year, so this probably isn’t one for the shy type!
You must also be 18 years or older and in the UK.
Aisha Jefferson at Deliveroo says: ‘Great food is there to be discovered, and we want to help more people find it. We know our customers love food, everything from local favourites to high-street staples, so this is an opportunity for any Deliveroo devotees with a good palette and a taste for great food to trial new, mind-blowing meals.”
“In the past year, we’ve welcomed over 20,000 new restaurants on the platform, now we need three curious connoisseurs who “get” food as much as we do to hero the hidden gems and help us in our year of food discovery.”
Sound good? You can apply via the Deliveroo website, but be quick as you only have until 4 February to apply.
