We all love a binge-watch, and many people have been revisiting old favourites this year as we’ve all had a lot more time at home.
It’s not good news though if you’ve just started watching Gossip Girl on Netflix, as it’s been confirmed that the series is being removed from December 31st.
Time to get watching if you want to make it through all of the seasons before it’s gone for good.
The iconic series focused on the lives of Blair, Serena, Chuck, Dan and co and their fabulous (and dramatic, and at times ridiculous) lives and outfits in New York. The narrator is an unknown blogger that goes by the name of “Gossip Girl” and shares all of the drama with pleasure.
It reached six seasons and 121 episodes, so if you’ve always wanted to watch it, now is the time to clear your schedule and get stuck in.
The series launched the career of the likes of Blake Lively and Penn Badgley.
A reboot of the series, also called Gossip Girl, is coming to HBO Max next year.
The series is set to follow a whole new group of teenagers in Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
The new cast for the reboot includes Eli Brown, Zion Moreno, Jordan Alexander, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Savannah Smith and Thomas Doherty.
Filming is already underway for the new series, and the ten episodes begin eight years after the original.
It’s not known if any of the stars of the original will be making an appearance, or if the new characters will have any connection to them. The official Twitter account has been sharing footage of the new cast on set.
Fans aren’t taking the news of the removal well.
