The best pasty shop in town is extending their closing hours until 9PM, perfect news for those who finish work late and fancy grabbing a £4 meal deal on their way home.

The days of coming home and actually having to cook a meal late at night are over – Greggs has us covered!

Growing up in the North meant that I used to eat my fair share of Greggs, what with them being on every street corner and all.

I honestly don’t think there’s anything I haven’t tried from there, except for those cup cakes with the ring on top because my mum says I’m no longer five.

In fact, I’d go as far as to say that Greggs is the saviour of every town in the country. When you’re feeling peckish and you aren’t quite sure what you fancy you go to Greggs. When you’re absolutely starving and want a bit of everything, you got to Greggs. When pay day is still a week away and you want something to satisfy your sweet tooth. It’s got to be Greggs. It’s a meal for all occasions.

If you haven’t been to Greggs in a while, you may not know that their Hot To Go counters were introduced in 199 stores last year. Essentially, the counters sell hot take away food such as chicken goujons and spicy BBQ chicken bites (which are already packaged in boxes for your convenience). Luckily, the company have announced that Hot To Go counters will now be available in 500 branches by September 21st, and they’ll be open until 9pm.

From 4pm until the store closes, you’ll be able to bag yourself an evening meal deal for just £4 which includes any hot dinner main, wedges and a drink. Ugh, the thought of that is making me so hungry.

If that isn’t exciting enough for you, you can also get any pizza and drink for just £2 after 4pm – ideal for people like me who love a bargain.

Maybe you’re more of a breakfast person and fancy a bit of Greggs in the morning? Well, there’s also a new breakfast section available in the hot counters which includes a breakfast box served with beans, cheese omelette, pork sausages and mini hash browns. There’s even a vegetarian alternative. Told you, everyone is covered!

This news comes after their autumn menu was released back in August, which includes spicy chicken and pepperoni bake (£1.85) and the famous pumpkin latte (£2.20), which contains sweet pumpkin spice-flavoured syrup and is topped with cream and sprinkles.

Not only that, but there are now two new baguettes on offer – one is Peri Peri chicken and the other is chipotle chilli steak – perfect for those who fancy a bit of a spicy kick at lunch time.

All hail Greggs!
