The infamous Rodrigo Alves, better known as the “Human Ken Doll” is now facing cause for concern after his nose starting shrinking.
This all occurred after Alves had his eleventh nose job which saw his nose begin to shrink. And his solution to the issue is..?? Have another nose job to stop it shrinking. Right. Mind boggling considering he himself says that each time going under the knife is “riskier than the last”.
Alves hopes this newest operation will reduce the shrinking of his nose.
Speaking to the DailyMail he said “The results of this surgery were very pleasing at first but now I am going to have to have another surgery because it is sinking and I am scared to be honest”.
Alves has spent over £600,000 on surgery. This isn’t just to his face either, in recent years he’s also had ribs removed in order to look “his best”.
I’m all for people doing what they want with their body, but if £600,000 gets you a botched job like this I’m not up for it. Think of all the other things £600,000 can buy you like a decent house or car.
I’d rather that than look like a melted “Human Ken Doll.”
After his surgery in January, Alves said:” My surgeon guaranteed he can fix my breathing, so finally I will be able to breathe again but there is a risk that my skin will not tolerate the surgery.
“If necrolysis develops it could mean I will lose my nose, so I am on antibiotics and hyperbaric oxygen therapy to reduce the risk of that.
“There is definitely a risk of necrolysis but there are ways to reduce that and I will defeat it if it happens.”
Doctors have since warned him he will be left with a hole in his face if he doesn’t receive treatment because he had a ‘lot of complications and things had to be repaired at the start’.
When is comes to stuff like this, I guess there has to be an end goal, what Mr Alves’ end goal is to me is unknown. If it’s to become a “human Ken doll” then I hate to break it to him that we’ve gone beyond that. This surgery is irreversible seemingly.
Aside from external modifications, he’s also recently had a gastric balloon fitted by a good friend. In simple terms this gastric balloon is to help him lose weight and keep him at his “prime”.
He then spoke out to warn others about the dangers of some procedures, saying: “I would say the only things that do work are Botox, fillers, muscle therapy and vitamins – in my opinion the threads do not work.”
Somehow I think he’s got bigger things to worry about.
