Even when I was younger and had a full day of school the next day, it was totally worth staying up for that late finish for ‘I’m A Celeb’, even if it meant snoozing through chemistry the next day (sorry, Mr Mitchell).
Once it starts, it becomes a big part of your life- you have to admit. It’s like any other celebrity showbiz/ reality tv show- you start off on a journey and you have to finish it.
Plus, it’s on every night so you really have to commit.
I’ve never really found a problem committing to ‘I’m A Celeb’ though, as those preview clips the night before make you feel very intrigued!
With the show set to return this year for it’s 19th series, here’s your ‘I’m A Celeb’ 2019 guide with everything you should know so far:
Well, okay – maybe we don’t know much on that one. With no official start date, it’s still to be confirmed when the show will air.
We do know, however, that it’s going to be in November, so keep your eyes peeled and TV guides updated for the official date!
Going from last year’s show, the first episode arrived on November 18th, so we can probably assume that this year’s show will have a similar early-November start.
The show usually starts at 9:00pm on ITV and usually finishes around 10:00, though occasionally the show could be extended by five or ten minutes to allow for longer trials.
That’s right- our favourite presenter-duo in British television of course!
Ant and Dec were presenting the show from as early as 2002, and helped to gain a record number of viewings for that show with their presence.
Last year, Ant (Anthony McPartlin) was sadly unable to co-host the show, as in the wake of a drink-driving incident the star took a break from television to deal with his alcohol problem.
This Morning’s Holly Willoughby graciously stepped in, and it’s safe to say she and Dec still provided us with a lot of entertainment.
This year, however, Ant is due to make his return to the show after being well missed by viewers. Although Holly was still undoubtedly a great host, it was still a bit weird seeing Dec without Ant!
The duo are to appear in a promotional short film called ‘Two Men and A Boat’ for the series, which I’m sure will be entertaining.
It’s what we all eagerly look for ahead of the show- the celebrities who will sacrifice their lives of luxury in exchange for weeks of the Aussie jungle, living with only basic necessities and that godawful dungy as a toilet.
The rumoured line-up has recently been released, so here’s who the bookies think could be heading in to the jungle camp:
Last year’s winner of the show was King of the Jungle Harry Redknapp, who won the nation’s hearts with both his love of jam roly-poly and his heart-warming stories about his wife Sandra.
We may not have Harry in the show this time, but there are some big names tipped to enter the jungle this year!
