Imagine, getting in from work or school/university on those dark, cold winter nights thinking what on earth you’re going to watch on the telly.
Well ponder no further, as the new ‘I’m A Celeb’ series will start in November of this year, so judging by the speed at which the months of our calendar fly over, you won’t have to wait that long!
This year will also see the much-welcomed return of co-host Anthony Mcpartlin (the Ant to our Dec) as he returns to the show after a break following an alcohol problem last year.
I can practically hear the drums of the theme tune already…
As is customary ahead of a new season, a rumoured line-up for the show has been revealed, and there’s a lot of names you might recognise:
Let’s take a look!
The Good Morning Britain presenter is rumoured to be in the ‘I’m A Celebrity’ line-up after exceeding expectations in the Extra Camp challenges, completing versions of popular Bushtucker Trials.
Whether or not the 63-year-old presenter will compete in this year’s show, however, remains to be seen. Imagine him sitting around the campfire talking to the other jungle celebrities about current events, eh?
Former Blue singer James has since been making his way in acting, and is suspected to head to Australia for the show this year.
Reportedly he admitted to having a rather serious fear of snakes, which if he does go into the jungle is a fear I’m sure ITV producers will be happy to make him face head on…
Wright is a former striker and footballer for Arsenal, as football fans will recognise.
He is also among those rumoured to be heading into the jungle later this year. I don’t know a lot about football, but I’m sure the jungle will be very different turf…
The 70-year-old lead singer of band Status Quo is a highly anticipated hopeful for this year’s show, with producers claiming he would be a hit.
The jungle will definitely need a good singer in there with there being no radio!
The former EastEnders star is married to TOWIE’s Dan Osbourne, and is said to be a likely jungle celebrity for this year’s show.
Starring in TOWIE, Lock has reportedly said he’d ‘boss’ the jungle, in an interview with OK! magazine.
That’s what they all say before they’re presented with a plate of kangaroo bollocks in a trial…
You’ve seen him in Red Dwarf and you’ve seen him in Corrie- Craig Charles is another celebrity said to be appearing on the show.
Charles appeared on ‘I’m A Celebrity’ back in 2014, but sadly had to leave a few days into the show due to family bereavement.
A previous Love Island contestant in 2017, Harrison is also known for dating Sam Gowland, and could be set to brave the jungle this year.
The Made In Chelsea star has reportedly discussed the possibility of appearing on the show with friends and family.
Strictly Come Dancing 2018 winner Stacey Dooley could also be heading down under to Australia, but could she take Queen of The Jungle as well?
Television presenter Jenny Powell is another rumoured jungle celebrity, and has reportedly said she would like to try her hand at more reality TV recently.
That’s right, rumour has it the GC is again said to be appearing on this year’s show.
A former ‘I’m A Celebrity’ contestant in 2014, she left the show just days in due to starvation and ill-health, but is reportedly ready to have another go this year.
Strictly Come Dancing professional Katya Jones could be a likely celebrity to enter the jungle, after an unfortunate kiss with dance partner Seann Walsh was caught in the public eye.
However, Jones has since rebuilt her marriage with husband Neil and according to bookies could be braving the Aussie jungle this year.
Actor Danny Dyer has worked in television, film and theatre.
But this year, it looks like he could possibly be stepping further into the world of reality TV in ‘I’m A Celeb’, and may soon be heading into the jungle.
Yes, you read that correctly, Danny Dyer’s daughter…Dani Dyer…may also be heading into the jungle.
Though it’s not certain whether we’ll see both of them there.
Coronation Street’s Michelle, or in reality Kym Marsh is also rumoured to be taking part in this year’s show, and has recently revealed she is ending her 13-year career with Corrie to work on other things.
However, it’s not certain whether she’ll be joining the jungle as she has reportedly agreed to other commitments later this year.
Also starring in Coronation Street, Fallon has recently spoken of appearing on the show optimistically, saying it would be a good challenge.
From the helicopter jumping, to the grizzly eating trials and the creepy-crawly-filled obstacle courses, there’s a lot of challenges she could be referring to.
Another Corrie star! Michael Le Vell has played mechanic Kevin on the show for about as long as I can remember.
And now, he could be set to exchange the cobbles for the jungle as a potential celebrity in this year’s ‘I’m A Celeb’.
Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway provides a lot of entertainment to the show, along with her co-presenters.
This year, she could be swapping the studio for the jungle, possibly in a bid to escape the relentless teasings of Piers Morgan.
Former professional footballer and current commentator for ESPN and SuperSport, John Barnes could also be appearing on this year’s show.
Could he be this year’s Harry Redknapp in the jungle?
The assistant head coach of Aston Villa is another celebrity tipped to be competing in the new series of ‘I’m A Celeb’ this year.
After watching her husband Wayne Bridge compete in ‘I’m A Celeb’ in 2016, former singer in girl-band the Saturday’s is another celebrity who could be heading into the jungle.
Supposing she does, hopefully she will make it to the final like her husband.
A former contestant on the 2018 series of Love Island, Georgia Steel could also be set to enter the jungle.
The former islander has since became single after leaving the dating show for Sam Bird, but could be due to make another reality TV appearance soon if she agrees to ‘I’m A Celeb’.
Eyal Booker was a former islander in the fourth series of Love Island in 2018.
He could be reunited with other contestants from the series if they are to enter the jungle together this year.
Nadiya Hussain is a baker who rose to culinary fame after winning The Great British Bakeoff show in 2015.
Years later, we could be seeing her around the campfire this year, although I’m not sure she will enjoy cooking the daily rations of beans and rice.
Competing in last year’s series of The Great British Bakeoff on Channel 4, Rahul also found fame in winning the show.
Time will soon tell if he will be lending his cooking skills in this year’s ‘I’m A Celeb’.
The Holby City actress reportedly confirmed she had been in talks with ITV last year about going into the jungle.
She also said the show would be a good challenge.
Love Island star Olivia Buckland rose to fame after her unbreakable romance with fellow contestant Alex Bowen in 2016.
Despite the couple coming second in the final, they later became engaged and were married last year.
The Hollyoaks actress and former Dancing on Ice contestant could be set to join the jungle in November, after reportedly claiming she has always wanted to try it.
It’ll be no walk in the park (or skate in the rink), but Waring could be set to try something new with ‘I’m A Celeb’.
Another former islander, Alexandra Cane could also be making another reality TV appearance in the jungle this year.
Finally, yet another Corrie star could be trying their hand at enduring the jungle.
Jack P Sheppard has played character David Platt on the soap since 2000, and could be heading into the jungle later this year.
So that’s your rumoured line-up for the jungle so far! Keep your eyes peeled for new updates on this as we near the show.
Holly Willoughby is stepping down this year allowing Britain’s Got Talent hosts Ant and Dec to go Down Under and present.
The show usually kicks off on a Sunday evening, sometime in mid-November.
If the 2019 series follows the pattern of the last few series, we’d expect I’m a Celebrity 2019 to start on November 17th.
