Imagine getting in from work, school or university on those cold winter nights, thinking ‘what on earth am I going to watch on the telly’.
Well, ponder no further, as a new ‘I’m A Celeb’ starts once again this November, and judging by the speed at which the months in our 2019 calendar are flying over, it won’t feel like very long at all!
This year will also see the much-welcomed return of co-host Anthony Mcpartlin (the Ant to our Dec) as he returns to the show after taking a break for personal reasons last year.
We can practically hear the drums of the theme tune already…
As is customary ahead of a new season, rumours of the line-up are the talk of the town. And this year, there’s a fair few names you might recognise:
Let’s take a look!
Rumoured to be swapping the sounds of the underground for the sounds of the jungle is Nadine Coyle, 1/5 of 00s band Girls Aloud. Which one is she again? The Irish one, duh.
John Bercow may be used to be speaking in the House of Commons but how will he fare speaking to commoners (aka his other campmates) in the jungle? It looks as though we’ll find out very soon.
Famous because, well, she’s Paul Hollywood’s 24-year-old ex; Summer Monteys-Fullam is tipped to be one of the contestants line-up for this year’s show.
Gobby reality TV star Olivia Atwood (seen in both Love Island and TOWIE) is a favourite to enter the jungle for 2019. We can imagine her extroverted personality will divide audiences.
Who doesn’t love Corrie’s Tyrone? We reckon Alan Halsall, the actor who plays the fan-favourite, with his real persona if he decides to enter the jungle.
Former rugby union player James Haskell is reportedly preparing to rough it in the jungle for our viewing pleasure this winter. Will he be joined by his father in law Richard Madeley?
The Good Morning Britain presenter is rumoured to be in the ‘I’m A Celebrity’ line-up after exceeding expectations in the Extra Camp challenges, completing versions of popular Bush-tucker Trials.
Whether or not the 63-year-old presenter will compete in this year’s show, however, remains to be seen. Imagine him sitting around the campfire talking to the other jungle celebrities about current events, eh?
Former Blue singer James, who’s been busy pursuing an acting career, is suspected to head to Australia for this year’s series of the show.
Reportedly, he’s admitted to having a rather serious fear of snakes, which, if he does go into the jungle, is a fear I’m sure ITV producers will be happy to make him face…
Wright is a former striker and footballer for Arsenal, as football fans will know.
He is also among those rumoured to be heading into the jungle later this year. I don’t know a lot about football, but I’m sure the jungle will prove to be very different turf…
The 70-year-old Status Quo lead singer is a highly anticipated hopeful for this year’s show. Keep them all entertained aye Francis.
The former EastEnders star, who is married to TOWIE’s Dan Osbourne, is said to be a likely celebrity for this year’s show. We’re not sure what’s a harder environment to survive in: the Australian jungle or Albert Square.
Starring in TOWIE, Lockie recently told OK! Magazine that he’d ‘boss the jungle’.
That’s what they all say before they’re presented with a plate of kangaroo bollocks…
You’ve seen him in Red Dwarf and you’ve seen him in Corrie; Craig Charles is another celebrity said to be appearing on the show.
Charles appeared on ‘I’m A Celebrity’ back in 2014, but sadly had to leave a few days into the show due to family bereavement. Could 2019 be the year he returns?
A previous Love Island contestant, Harrison is best known for dating Sam Gowland. The jungle could give Georgia a chance to prove herself to the British public.
The Made In Chelsea star has reportedly discussed the possibility of appearing on the show. We’re not sure he could hack a life without luxury.
Strictly Come Dancing 2018 winner Stacey Dooley could also be heading down under to Australia. She could win the title of ‘Queen of the Jungle’?
Television presenter Jenny Powell is another rumoured jungle celebrity, and has recently said she would like to try her hand at more reality TV.
The GC famously left the 2014 series of the show just a few days in due to starvation and ill-health, but rumour has it that she will make her return to show this year.
Strictly Come Dancing professional Katya Jones is a likely celebrity to enter the jungle, after an unfortunate kiss with dance partner Seann Walsh made her a household name.
Jones has since rebuilt her marriage with husband Neil and according to bookies could be braving the Aussie jungle this year.
Actor Danny Dyer has worked in television, film and theatre. But this year, it looks like he could be stepping further into the world of reality TV in ‘I’m A Celeb’.
Yes, you read that correctly, Danny Dyer’s daughter…Dani Dyer…may also be heading into the jungle. However, we do doubt we’ll see both of them there.
Coronation Street’s Michelle, AKA Kym Marsh, is also rumoured to be taking part in this year’s show, and has recently revealed she is ending her 13-year career with Corrie to pursue other projects.
However, it’s not certain whether she’ll be joining the jungle as she’s reportedly agreed to other commitments later this year.
Another one from the cobbles, Fallon has recently spoken about appearing on the show optimistically, saying it would be ‘a good challenge’.
And another Corrie star! Michael Le Vell has played mechanic Kevin on the show for about as long as we can remember.
And now, he could be set to exchange Rovers Return Inn for the jungle as a potential celebrity in this year’s ‘I’m A Celeb’.
Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway is certainly a ‘personality’. And it looks as though Kate could be swapping the studio for the jungle. We don’t blame her, working with Piers Morgan and all.
Commentator and former professional footballer John Barnes could also be appearing on this year’s show.
Could he be this year’s Harry Redknapp?
The assistant head coach of Aston Villa is another celebrity tipped to be competing in the new series of ‘I’m A Celeb’ this year.
After watching her husband Wayne Bridge in I’m A Celeb 2016, former The Saturdays singer is another celebrity who could be heading into the jungle. Will she also make it to the final?
Love Island 2018’s Georgia Steel is also rumoured to enter the jungle. Will she be a LOYAL campmate?
Nadiya Hussain rose to fame after winning The Great British Bakeoff back in 2015.
This year we could be seeing her around the campfire, although I’m not sure she will enjoy cooking the daily rations of beans and rice.
Competing in last year’s series of The Great British Bakeoff, Rahul also found fame in winning the show.
Only time will tell if he will be lending his cooking skills in this year’s ‘I’m A Celeb’.
The Holby City actress reportedly confirmed she had been in talks with ITV last year about going into the jungle. She reportedly said the show would be a good challenge.
Love Island star Olivia Buckland rose to fame after her unbreakable romance with fellow contestant Alex Bowen in 2016. Now she looks to go on a solo adventure into the jungle.
The Hollyoaks actress and former Dancing on Ice contestant could be set to join the jungle in November, after reportedly claiming that she’s always wanted to try it.
It’ll be no walk in the park (or skate in the rink), but Waring could be set to try something new with ‘I’m A Celeb’.
Another former islander, Alexandra Cane could also be making another reality TV appearance in the jungle this year.
Jack P Shepherd has played character David Platt in Corrie since 2000. This year, he could be trying something different by heading into the jungle.
So that’s your rumoured line-up for the jungle so far! Keep your eyes peeled for new updates on this as we near the show.
Holly Willoughby is stepping down this year allowing Britain’s Got Talent hosts Ant and Dec to go Down Under and present.
The show usually kicks off on a Sunday evening, sometime in mid-November.
If the 2019 series follows the pattern of the last few series, we’d expect I’m a Celebrity 2019 to start on November 17th.
