Instagram model Jenna Lee is being hailed as a “coronavirus hero” for paying the rent of two of her fans

Not all heroes wear capes… in fact, some don’t wear much at all.

What a bloody legend.

As we continue to ride out this global sh*t storm – and the days begin to bleed into one another – good news seems few and far between. So when I come across it, it’s uplifting; it sounds cheesy, but it reminds that we are all literally in this together and the only way we’re going to get out of it is by helping one another.

So say what you want about Instagram influencers and models, but this kind of behaviour deserves respect right now.

27-year-old Instagram model Jenna Lee from Texas, USA, has been hitting headlines today by offering to pay rent for two of her Instagram followers whose incomes have taken a blow due to the spread of COVID-19.

According to The Daily Star Online, the two lucky fans are a mum-of-two who works in the service industry, and a single dad-of-four, who is a furloughed engineer.

It all began when the model and influencer posted the following to her 840,000 Instagram followers:

“Please share! I will be paying 1 persons rent this month.

“If the #coronavirus has caused you to lose your job OR you’re unable to quarantine because you don’t have the option to stop working (and you wish to quarantine) then please nominate yourself or someone you know in my comments WITH YOUR STORY and specifically how you’ve been struggling.

“The MORE DETAILS THE BETTER. I’m looking to help someone that’s in desperate need of help. I will DM you for further information to make sure that your situation is legit and will ask for proof of how much your rent is.

“PLEASE DO NOT BE EMBARRASSED TO NOMINATE YOURSELF WE ARE ALL STRUGGLING RIGHT NOW so you’re not alone. Money will be sent via Venmo or PayPal before the 1st.”
