It seems hard to believe when the actress is still a much-loved part of pop culture thanks to the enduring love for Friends, but Jennifer Aniston says she nearly quit acting two years ago.
As well as the iconic role of Rachel Green, Jennifer found success with her latest series, The Morning Show, plus plenty of rom-coms in between. Speaking on the SmartLess podcast, she revealed that she considered giving up acting as recently as two years ago.
She recalled: “I would have to say the last two years that [quitting] has crossed my mind.” She said an “unprepared project sucked the life out of me…. I don’t know if this is what interests me.”
The podcast is hosted by Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett – they had asked Jennifer what the closest she ever came to quitting was.
On a happier note, the hosts asked what her favourite projects have been so far. As well as Friends, Jennifer cited 2014’s Cake as a standout. “That was an experience that was creatively fulfilling. Everything I imagined as an actor I’d be completely afraid of and suck at, I didn’t so bad.”
They also asked her what she could see herself doing instead if she decided not to act anymore. “Interior design, probably. I love it. It’s my happy place. It’s a really happy place for me.”
Imagine having Jennifer Aniston design your home for you.
