Summer may have kept us apart and with autumn just around the corner we may find ourselves desperately hanging on to the last bit of sunshine, so why not keep summer alive with The Coconut Malibu Remix?

The ongoing global pandemic and the nationwide lockdown has meant we have all had to adapt socially and let’s face it, summer wasn’t quite the same. In an effort to keep the spirit alive in such fragile times, Malibu has teamed up with platinum-selling DJ  Dillon Francis and over 50 Malibu ambassadors to bring people together while staying physically apart in  #TheCoconutChallenge virtual dance craze.

Choreographed by the renowned Matt Steffanina, fun-loving dancers from all over the world ranging from Asia to Europe to North and South America came together in the Official Music Video for The Coconut Nut Malibu Remix.

Here in the UK, the likes of X Factor sensation Fleur East, MIC’s Georgia Toffolo, Ashley Banjo, AJ Pritchard and Jake Quickenden joined the ranks to bring the campaign to life in an energetic, coconut crazy dance routine.

The crowd-sourced music video was made up of creative submissions from consumers themselves and even though you can no longer get featured in the Official Music Video yourself, with the weather continuing the summer trend why not get together with your friends (no more than 6, of course) and keep the summer vibe alive.

You can even chuck in some tasty Malibu drink recipes for extra measure.

Speaking on the Coconut Challenge campaign and his new anthem, Dillon Francis said: “The Coconut Nut is a perfect lighthearted anthem for summer vibes, so I hope my new Malibu remix and #TheCoconutChallenge can provide a moment of reprieve while everything in the world still seems so uncertain”.
