KFC’s (in)famous flamin’ Devil Bites are back in three hot flavours and they sound insanely hot

Guess who’s back, back, back… back again? No, it’s not Slim Shady, it’s KFC’s Daredevil bites!

Are we spice people excited? Oh you bet.

We finally have something spicy, genuinely spicy, to feast on – sorry McDonald’s spicy nuggets – thanks to these hotter than hot KFC snacks.

Apparently, the bites are the hottest item EVER on a KFC menu, so if you’re the kind of person that tears up and sweats eating a Zinger wing – you’re better off staying away from these.

These succulent, boneless bites of spicy joy are coated in tasty breadcrumbs, then smothered in a hot sauce that’ll definitely make your toes tingle.

If the sound of that is already making you sweat, then you should also know that they come in three mouth-meltin’ flavours: sweet chilli, fiery buffalo and piri piri inferno.

How much are the KFC Daredevil bites?

You can grab some in either a four-piece pot for £1.99 or in a box meal with chips, a side and a zinger burger for £6.99. Or just buy both, why not, I would.

When are they available?

You might not want to delay your trip though as they’re only being sold until October 20th – which give you around six weeks to feel the burn.

I know, such a short time for a popular product that was released in 2014 and then taken away in 2016. It’s a damn shame they aren’t on the menus for as long as the other products – maybe they’re going for the ‘less is more’ approach?

Or maybe they’re frightened of actually killing someone with one.

I’m not sure, but whatever strategy KFC has, it’s certainly working at the moment.

KFC recently released a Mac & Cheese bowl, which consist of a glorious three-cheese blend, OG popcorn chicken and some more cheese. My kind of heaven right there.

During the release of the Mac and Cheese bowl, Andrea Zahumensky, KFC’s US chief marketing officer commented about the new product in a statement.

“Mac and Cheese has a cult-like following, and bowl food is a trend that isn’t going away anytime soon. So, it made perfect sense to call up a favourite side dish to the big leagues, in a way that only we could, with Mac and Cheese Bowls”.

As a cheese fiend and chicken lover, this might be heaven in a bowl.

Speaking of selling out, not long ago KFC introduced its vegan chicken burger, “The Imposter” to selected UK stores, which sold out in a matter of days. As a result, there have been early discussions about the item returning to menus.

Its success was possibly due to the fact that “The Imposter” looks like chicken, without it actually being chicken.

I’m pretty sure it tastes like chicken. Just as much as the frog legs, tofu or rabbit your friends wanted you to try, tasted like it too.
