Oasis could be coming back as Liam Gallagher, lead singer of the band, has promised that they will return to do a fundraiser gig for the NHS, even if Noel Gallagher refuses to take part.

It must be exhausting being one of the other guys in that band. Constantly in the hinterland of being back in a band or not and having to have an awful haircut, all at the whim of two egomaniac brothers who allegedly hate each other.

I’ll admit, I really like a good few of Oasis’s songs; I just feel grateful that I can separate the art from the artists, since the Gallagher brothers are an absolute nightmare.

Having said that, Liam trying to get Oasis back together for an NHS fundraiser gig is an admirable thing.

Breaking the news to his adoring followers on Twitter, Liam wrote a message that’s actually quite hard to read, but you can get the gist of it…

He wrote:

Wanna clear a few things up; Oasis gig for NHS charity – as in all money raised goes to NHS, not to me – will happen with or without Noel Gallagher. It may not be the same, but trust me it’ll still blow your knickers off.

As you were, LG x

Building on that, he followed up with a tweet simply reading:

Noel has yet to respond on Twitter – which may be due to the fact that his record label runs his account and not him – but there will be a lot of pressure on him to get involved, as people are desperate for there to be an Oasis reunion gig.

To be fair, if Noel can be all chummy and musical with Damon Albarn – someone he famously hated in the nineties – then there’s no reason he can’t put his differences with his brother behind him and do a charity gig for something everyone loves unwaveringly.

With all of that said, I’m not sure how a gig to raise money for the NHS would work right now, since public gatherings are very much out of the question in this current lockdown.

I suppose they’ll be waiting for when all of this Pandemic stuff blows over, and then they’ll raise some cash.

We’ll have to wait and see.
