Love Island UK fans were gutted to hear the news that the series would be on hold this year due to the global pandemic.

However, the good news is that the US version will be airing soon and we’ll be getting it over here.

ITV has revealed that the upcoming second season of the US version of the reality show will be airing from September 7 on ITV2.

Per Digital Spy, the ‘Islanders’ will be cracking on in Las Vegas rather than the previous location of Fiji, with the contestants staying in a villa located on top of Caesars Entertainment’s boutique hotel, The Cromwell.

Host Arielle Vandenberg and narrator Matthew Hoffman both reprise their roles from season one, with one lucky couple scooping the $50,000 prize.

Paul Mortimer, ITV’s head of digital channels and acquisitions, said that he is “thrilled” to bring Love Island USA to a UK audience.

“Las Vegas may seem like an odd destination for the show but the canny producers have beaten Covid with a show that adheres to all production protocols and that could well be sensational,” he said.

“Certainly the ‘villa’ is impressive and the cast diverse and amazing. We believe Love Island fans will embrace this Sin City twist, my bet is the series will be another big hit.
