Home Alone’s famed child actor Macaulay Culkin has jumped on the bandwagon calling for Donald Trump to be removed from the second Home Alone film.

The (very nearly) former President of the United Stated has had what some could call a hectic week, after the his supporters storming the Capitol ended in subsequent bans from every social media platform imaginable.

Oh, and there is that impeachment thing too.

If you haven’t already heard, fans have flooded to Twitter to demand Trump is edited out of the Home Alone 2: Lost In New York movie, where he makes a quick but memorable cameo.

Before he was the POTUS, Trump was mainly known as a businessman and a TV personality, and wasn’t a stranger to making appearances in TV shows and films.

The 74-year-old had a short moment in the Home Alone film, where Culkin’s character, Kevin McAlister, ran into the hotel lobby and asked Trump for directions, who gave them to him.

They’ve suggested that he should be replaced by actor Christopher Plummer, who famously replaced Kevin Spacey’s scenes in All The Money In The World following allegations of sexual assault made against Spacey.

One person wrote: “Can we have that scene in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York digitally edited with modern technology to replace @realDonaldTrump with Christopher Plummer?”

“Has anyone thought of editing Home Alone 2 to remove Donald Trump? It sounds like something that’s probably been done and I want to see it” added another.

Culkin, 40, has since joined in the campaign for Trump’s removal on social media.

The actor responded to a tweet which read: “Petition to digitally replace Trump in Home Alone 2 with 40-year-old Macaulay Culkin.”

“Sold,” Culkin replied yesterday.

He also tweeted “bravo” in response to a Home Alone fan who digitally removed Trump from the scene.

He’s not big on sentences, but his stance on the matter couldn’t be clearer.

Last year, the family favourite movie’s director Chris Columbus revealed that Trump had “bullied his way into the movie” while they were filming in his hotel.
