This is the ultimate example of mansplaining.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock you’ve probably seen the plight of the Gorilla Glue girl. Tessica Brown used the Gorilla Glue spray to set her hair, and went viral on TikTok after she made a video about it. Her hair has been rock solid for weeks.
Any time a woman goes viral for whatever reason, there’s always an army of men waiting to shout “DIDN’T HAPPEN”, or “DHOTYA” for short (Didn’t Happen Of The Year Award).
This time though, one man went a step further in his desperation to prove Tessica wrong. So he glued a cup to his face.
37-year-old Len Martin decided he would use Gorilla Glue to stick a plastic cup on his face. He said he did it to try to prove that Tessica was lying, but ended up having to seek medical attention as well.
That’s where it all went wrong for Len. As well as the video, there is a photo too where he can be seen in hospital.
Medics must be furious at having to waste this much time over glue incidents.
“Pray For Me”
In a caption on the video, Len writes: “I thought that chick with the gorilla glue was making that story up…but no..its real… I dont kno why I tried it..now they talking bout cutting the tip of my lips off in surgery…yall pray for me #gorrilagluechallenge smh”
Commenters have been quick to blast him, criticising him for “chasing clout” and for posting “#gorillagluechallenge” amid fears others will copy.
One replied: “I firmly believe this is why aliens haven’t invaded earth yet”. They have a point. An expert recently claimed aliens don’t visit us because they think we’re too stupid.
Following the viral attention, Gorilla Glue released a statement.
“We are very sorry to hear about the unfortunate incident that Miss Brown experienced using our Spray Adhesive on her hair. We are glad to see in her recent video that Miss Brown has received medical treatment from her local medical facility and wish her the best.”
So what’s the latest for the poor Gorilla Glue girl?
It was revealed that she has had plastic surgery worth $12,500 after a surgeon took pity on her.
Dr Michael Obeng said “The surgery went well. Tessica is doing well. She’s awake. The hair crew is doing her hair.
“When I found out this was a reality, you can only feel compassion and sympathy for Tessica.”
In a video for TMZ following the four-hour surgery, Brown says “It’s over. Over. Over”, before scratching her scalp with relief. “I need my hair done,” she adds.
She is now verified on Twitter and has a link in her bio for her management.
Of all the things to be famous for.
Are you surprised he glued a cup to his face to try and prove Tessica wrong?
