Morrison’s, pioneers of sort-of big food and spicy curries, have announced that you’ll be able to enjoy one of their huge ‘Big Daddy Breakfasts’ from the 16th of June (Father’s Day).
Not only that, but given what you actually get on your plate, it comes at a silly-low price of £5, having previously been a solid £6.
But what exactly do you get in this illustrious meal? What’s so bloody good about the ‘Big Daddy’? I’ll tell you what; it’s big and has all of this stuff in it:
Three rashers of British bacon, three British pork sausages, two half slices of fried bread, baked beans, two fried eggs, a tomato, three hash browns, sliced mushrooms and two black puddings.
That’s a lot of food, though I dislike the audacity of Morrison’s to say “two half slices of fried bread” when that’s literally just one slice of bread.
Wow! This meal comes with 28 twenty-eighths slices of bread! WHAT A BARGAIN!
Morrison’s introduced this mammoth breakfast this time last year and it went down a storm, with Helen Tordoff, head of cafés at Morrisons, saying:
“Our standard cooked breakfast is one of our most popular meals on the menu, but customers have asked for one that’s even bigger.
The ‘Big Daddy Breakfast’ is an excellent choice for customers with a big appetite.”
She would say that though, wouldn’t she?
Well, if that’s your thing, you know exactly where to go; a Morrison’s with a cafe within.
Happy Father’s Day to all the daddies out there.
