Yeah I know they are, but you’ve clicked on this article, you obviously like them and Netflix are wise to that fact. The streaming service has a Midas Touch with their original content these days and it shows so signs of slowing down – why would it when we’re lining the coffers of Netflix’s head-honchos with an ever-increasing subscription service?
Objectively, £7 a month isn’t a lot to pay but their films are mostly garbage and there’s only so many times you can watch Friends.
Anyway, Netflix has a new horror film out – The Perfection – and apparently it’s making people violently sick with its gratuitous and gory scenes.
The films follows a troubled musical prodigy Charlotte (Allison Williams) as she seeks out star pupil Elizabeth (Logan Browning) of her former school Elizabeth. They initially hit it off but things start to go awry pret-ty quickly on and before they know it there’s people throwing up maggots and bugs scuttling under people’s skin.
Suitably revolting stuff, and the scenes are scarring audiences aplenty.
Some bloke genuinely compared the film to ‘Black Swan meets Get Out meets The Human Centipede‘ and if that isn’t enough reason to watch a film I don’t know what is.
I can’t even process which elements of each film he’s referring to but it sounds f*cking mental.
Anyway, scary film stays true to form and scares people.
And thaaaaaaat’s the news, baby

Charismatic, witty, charming, engaging - four things Joshua Rogers will never be. Thankfully, he’s a semi-competent writer, who, after graduating university with two mostly pointless degrees, joined The Hook two years ago. He subsequently honed his writing skills over the course of several sex-related articles, bringing a very public shame to his family's good name.
