If there’s two things in the world of media that’s popular at the moment, it’s horror and Netflix.

Honestly either of the two could do whatever they wanted and everyone would just lap it up.

A horror about sweet corn? Sure. A Netflix show about car keys? Sure, whatever.

So when Netflix decide to dip their toes in the murky waters of horror, you can be almost certain that whatever the end product is, it’s going to be popular.

Well quelle surprise, Netflix have got a horror film coming out and hey! It’s looks pretty good.

Called The Perfection, it more or less looks like what would happen if you crossed Black Swan with Whiplash and if that’s not something you want to watch, then I can’t help you.

The description from Netflix reads:

Overflowing with dizzying horror and sly dark humour, The Perfection is an elegant and terrifying suspense ride filled with unexpected twists and turns.

“When troubled musical prodigy Charlotte (Girls star Allison Williams) seeks out Elizabeth (Dear White People’s Logan Browning), the new star pupil of her former school, the encounter sends both musicians down a sinister path with shocking consequences.”

Richard Shepard, the Emmy award-winning Girls director, is behind this film, and he co-wrote with Eric C Charmelo and Nicole Snyder.

The Perfection will be available to watch on Netflix come Friday, May 24.
