This Office Chair Has An Extra Room For Your Needy Pets
Some pet owners believe that they can never be too close to their animals. That's why people are putting their hens in cool chicken strollers and their cats in lovely unicorn caps knitted by hand. However, pets frequently refuse to be separated from their owners, which is why we should all be grateful to creative inventors like Simone Giertz for creating this amazing office chair for needy pets.
Simone, the designer, had a familiar story to tell. Scraps, her adoring but dependent dog, followed her from room to room (which is sweet) but got in the way of her work in her home office (which is not cute).
I'm sure you or someone you know has experienced this problem: scooping up your pet during the workday when they need a little extra affection, then returning them to the floor five minutes later when they've had enough of you. Rinse and repeat as needed. That's a lot of time! Not to mention the numerous Zoom meetings in which your furry buddy decides to join you.
Simone began looking for a dog-friendly office chair that could suit both her and her dog after becoming frustrated with being interrupted throughout her workday, but she came up empty-handed.
Simone, who is a tremendously creative designer, thought she would be the one to get her hands dirty and build the world's first pet-friendly office chair for dogs!
The prototype of office chair for needy pets is a charming yet functional chair with built-in stairwells on the reverse. Because the seat is big enough for both human and animal butts, your furry companion can work alongside you. The pet can independently climb up and down the stairs to the seat and depart whenever they choose. There are also little storage drawers on the stairwell.
Because Simone's dog, Scraps, only has three legs, making the sitting arrangement as accessible and comfortable as possible was a primary priority. Scraps was able to achieve it, and so can your small pet!
The office chair for needy pets also has a nook under your feet where your dog or cat may receive some much-needed seclusion and snuggle time. Simone even embellished the chair with cute Scraps photos.
Your dog or cat can easily get up and down the steps in the back of the office pet chair!
When your dog needs a little privacy, the bottom of the human/pet office chair even features a dog home that is more enclosed.
If you work from home and have a needy dog or cat who won't leave your side, you may need to make your own office chair for needy pets with extra room on the side for your pet to snuggle!
While creator Simone hopes to improve the companion chair's design before releasing it to the public – specifically, by reducing the footprint to make it less bulky – we can all agree that it's the type of product that would make a lot of people's lives easier!
