People Are For Calling Gordon Ramsay To Play Angry Chef Louis In The Live-Action ‘Little Mermaid’ Film

Gordon Ramsay is a fantastic human being who I absolutely cannot get enough of.

I’ve seen every single episode of Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares and I often find myself rattling through his videos on YouTube at 1am. They never fail to make me hungry and alas, I never seem to learn, but my my are they addictive.

Now, Gordon is an infamously hot-headed and angry man, particularly when it comes to all things kitchen related, which is perhaps why fans are wanting him to play Chef Louis in the upcoming live-action version of The Little Mermaid.

We’ve already had Terry Crews come out and say he wants to play the role of King Triton, but now fans want to see Gordon don the apron as Prince Eric’s personal cook.

If you remember from the original 1989 version, the French chef has an incredible scene where he’s doing his meal-prep before the lobster Sebastian escapes, where he suddenly explodes with rage. Nobody can do that quite like Gordon, and people want to see it happen.

But the ideas don’t stop there.

Now, I don’t know much about Little Mix, but I do know that one of their band members, Jesy Nelson, went viral over a completely bizarre accent she once tried.

Five years ago, the singer became an infamous meme queen after attempting to do a Jamaican accent for a โ€œYou Generationโ€ video campaign that resulted in her blurting out a weird sound.

That sound was โ€œbalegdahโ€ and ever since that moment it’s haunted her wherever she’s been.

It’s phenomenal, and if you haven’t seen it already, I implore you to right now:

I still can’t get my head around it and I’ve listened to it 7000 times.

And now, with the upcoming Little Mermaid film on the horizon, social media users have been calling for Jesy to be cast as Sebastian the crab – who incidentally also has a Jamaican accent.

One Twitter user wrote: โ€œCongratulations to Jesy from Little Mix who has been cast as the Jamaican crab Sebastian in The Little Mermaidโ€, while another said: โ€œCast Jesy Nelson as Sebastian the crab, you cowards.โ€

Another person joked that theyโ€™d made a petition calling for her casting: โ€œHi, please sign my http://change.org petition to have Jesy Nelson play Sebastian in the live-action Disney remake of The Little Mermaid.โ€

Funnily enough, though, it turns out the whole viral clip was just one massive misunderstanding.

Speaking to the Huffington Post, Jesy responded to whether she finds it annoying or not: “Oh my god, the most! So much. It isn’t my Jamaican accent, it’s annoying.”

She explained: “The fan edited it as though it was my Jamaican accent, I actually do a Jamaican accent! That’s not even a Jamaican accent, they just cut off my accent and said that was my Jamaican accent.”

Apparently, what Jesy was really saying was the term ‘bardegne’ – a sound the Little Mix girls use when they’re feeling stumped.

“We were filming today and she [Jade] was on the tannoy and she forgot her little script and just went [Jesy does the non-Jamaican accent accent]!” She added. “We do it all the time but for some reason that bit was hilarious. I’ll never live it down.”

This film really has the potential to be hilarious with these castings – just make them happen already!
