That’s not to detract from the fact that Eminem is one of the best rappers of all time, of course, but at his age he really shouldn’t be starting beef with people half as old and making pretty gross comments about a two-year-old tragedy.
In one of the songs on the new album, Unaccommodating, Slim Shady made a reference to the 2017 Manchester bombing at an Ariana Grande concert that killed 22 people, as he rapped:
“But I’m contemplating yelling ‘Bombs away’ on the game/Like I’m outside of an Ariana Grande concert waiting.“
As you might have expected, the rapper has received a fair amount of criticism for his words, with people taking to Twitter with their disgust.
“eminem literally just made a joke about the manchester bombing at ariana grande’s concert… that is just so f*cking sick, y’all better not give this man any attention. people literally lost their lives, and you’re going to release music and try to make a profit off of them?“
“Eminem really said in his new song “unaccommodating” the lyrics “bombs away like I’m at an ariana grande concert” and proceeded after with gun shots/explosions mocking manchester.. i am disgusted how did he or his team think this was okay? he’s trash“
Onlyrare echoed this:
“eminem really referenced the bombing in manchester on his new album… for what? that was so traumatic and he’s using it for clout on his album. he’s f*cking gross“
And ChyronForever commented:
“So Eminem’s washed up ass really made a joke about the Manchester bombing? This ain’t the early 2000s baby you can’t get away with shit like that“
Meanwhile, a number of people were defending the veteran rapper…

He's been blagging his way through writing articles for four years now and he's definitely showing signs of slowing down. When not writing for The Hook, Alfie finds time to indulge in his favourite hobbies, such as drinking and sitting down.Follow
