It’s a film that’s been a long time in the making, with behind the scenes work going on for the best part of three years.
Fans all over the world have been calling for a solo Black Widow film for a while, citing that all of the other Avengers – barring Hawkeye – have had their own films and Natasha’s backstory is one that could do with expanding upon.
Seen filming in Saebo, Norway, Johansson was doing some pretty mundane stuff as Black Widow, like going to a pharmacy or getting on a ferry.
As of yet, almost nothing is known about the upcoming film and even when it’s set is a complete mystery.
A few people seem to think that it was going to be set in the five years between Infinity War and Endgame, but that seems unlikely since her hair has no blonde in it.
On top of that, I just hope it isn’t.
But after new set photos found their way onto the internet – hey, there’s a first time for everything – people think they know who the villain is going to be.
While this is completely unconfirmed and based purely on speculation, many think that the mystery man (or woman?) donning a full bodysuit could be none other than Marvel villain-turned-antihero Taskmaster…
If you’re unfamiliar with Taskmaster, he’s essentially a nefarious character who dresses like Skeletor and who has a photographic reflexes, meaning he can imitate any foe’s fighting moves… except for Deadpool who is “too unpredictable”.
I’ll be honest, I don’t think this guy looks an awful lot like Taskmaster – real name Tony Masters – but I suppose it could just be standard MCU modernising/making things less kitsch?
On reflection, maybe it does look like him. You can see that there’s a hood on his outfit that he isn’t wearing. Very interesting.
Yeah it’s probably Taskmaster.
It’s good how I leave the things where I’m clearly disagreeing with myself and could easily delete in. Weird how more “writers” don’t do that.
Anyway, these pictures were taken in Budapest, so maybe we’ll see what Black Widow and Hawkeye were referring to when they kept calling back to their time in the capital of Hungary.
We’ll keep you upYEETed!
Nah we’ll just keep you updated.

He's been blagging his way through writing articles for four years now and he's definitely showing signs of slowing down. When not writing for The Hook, Alfie finds time to indulge in his favourite hobbies, such as drinking and sitting down.Follow
