With You season 2 on the way, it has been revealed that the upcoming story will be “gorier and scarier” than ever before, which sounds extremely intense.

Wow Joe Goldberg is such a dreamboat, the way he goes around fulfilling his character of a dangerously creepy stalker-murderer. I can’t wait to see him doing some more stalking and murdering.

Spoilers? You’re not reading this without having already seen season one, are you?

My mum genuinely once said that he reminds her of me once. As in Joe, not the actor…

To be fair, I think the main reason behind people fancying Joe Goldberg is that he has the same face and body as Gossip Girl‘s Penn Badgely. That would help most people’s chances.

Actually before we get into this, if you Google Joe Goldberg, the quick summary has a couple of things that jump out at me…

joe goldberg spider man

Namely that his alias, weirdly enough, is Joe and that he’s likened to, among others, Spider-Man; the wall-crawling superhero with the proportionate strength of a spider.

With that said, Penn Badgley would make a good adult Peter Parker.

Anyway, with season two on the way, showrunner and co-creator Sera Gamble revealed on Us Weekly that it’s going to be a lot darker than what we’ve seen so far.

Naturally that sounds like a pretty unrealistic promise to make, but she explained “Moving the show to Los Angeles brought out a whole different side of Joe Goldberg.”

Building on that, she told Ladbible that while Joe wants to turn over a new leaf, things don’t necessarily go that way…

At least one scene comes to mind that’s gorier and scarier than anything we had in season one.

You will know it when you see it. Episode two of the season has my single favourite shot that I have been a part of in my entire career. My career is full of blood and gore and monsters.

It’s also beautifully shot and the director who shot the second episode lavished a lot of love. Joe is forced to do something he really doesn’t want to do.

Scary stuff.

Perfect.
