‘Tis the season to be jolly, and this year’s number one festive tune could be ‘Boris Johnson Is A F*****g C***’. What a Christmassy tune!
It’s up against LadBaby’s ‘Don’t Stop Me Eatin’ and Ed Sheeran’s last minute entry with ‘Afterglow’, but there’s fierce competition from The Kunts.
The song was originally released earlier this year as part of their album ‘Kunts Punk In Your Face’. Black Mirror’s Charlie Brooker has backed the song.
Brooker noticed on Sunday that ‘Boris Johnson Is A F*****g C***’ was number two on the iTunes UK chart, possibly as a reaction to the announcement on Saturday that the relaxation of COVID restrictions over Christmas was cancelled.
Currently, the song is third behind two versions of LadBaby at one and two. LadBaby is helped by being a charity single, as proceeds are going to The Trussell Trust.
The tune is also currently at #3 on Amazon’s chart, and it’s appeared in Spotify’s Uk ‘Viral 50’ chart. Bookies are also giving them odds of 8/1 to steal the top spot.
Some people on Twitter think Ed’s decision to release a single was paid for by the government.
So, did the government pay Ed Sheeran to release a single to stop “Boris Johnson Is A F****** C***” getting to No.1 on Christmas Day?

Did Ed Sheeran have to ruin Xmas even more then the government already has

Streams and purchases only count towards this year’s UK Christmas singles chart before 11:59pm on Thursday (December 24). The UK Christmas number will be announced on BBC Radio 1 from 2pm on Christmas Day.
The song is only 82 seconds long and you can probably imagine what most of the lyrics are. Even if it makes it into the chart, it’s unlikely to be played on the radio. Presenter Katie Thistleton said during The Official Chart: First Look show on Sunday (20 December), that the song had “so many bad words in it, we can’t play it on daytime Radio 1”.
