“Yo, I’ll tell you what I want, what I really, really want”: A Spice Girls Reunion!

It’s been two decades since we lost the Spice in our life and what better way to celebrate the group’s 25th anniversary than a reboot of one of their most iconic tracks?

Bringing “Girl Power” back, Mel C, 46, Emma Bunton, 44, Geri Horner, 47, and Mel B, 45 are said to be considering a reshoot of smash hit Wannabe to mark their 25th anniversary.

The four Spices are reportedly batting around “ideas on how they can do something special to mark the big day”, after their celebratory tour was kicked to the kerb due to coronavirus.

A source said: “The Spice Girls were hoping to hit the road in 2021 to mark their big anniversary but now it’s not possible because of the pandemic”.

But it seems “exceedingly unlikely” Victoria Beckham, 46, will be involved.

Reports suggest the rest of the group are considering a reshoot of their best-selling song, Wannabe, which was released in ’96.

Explaining more, the source said: “Mel C suggested doing something around Wannabe – including the idea of possibly re-working the video for social media”.

“There are so many options and nothing is off-limits. They want to give the fans something special”.

The original Wannabe video, which was No 1 in 1996, was nothing short of iconic.

It was shot in the lobby entrance and on the staircase of the former Midland Grand Hotel in St Pancras, London and featured the gang embodying their inner Spice.

Who could forget Mel C’s somewhat questionable shiny purple tracksuit bottoms and Baby Spice’s trademark bunches and cute white A-line mini dress – and then there were Geri’s risqué choices?

With that in mind, we are definitely in need of some all-girl, in-yer-face sass to burst back onto the scene.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated.
