Robert Irwin is following in his dad’s footsteps and it’s great.

13 years ago, we lost one of the most loveable men to grace the television in Steve Irwin, when his life was tragically cut short after a stingray attack.

He left behind a legacy that few others could ever hope to, introducing young people to the wonders of nature and more than most, his own two children, Bindi and Robert.

20-year-old Bindi is a bit of a jack of all trades, working as an actress, television personality, conservationist, model, singer and dancer, while 15-year-old Robert sticks mainly to TV, every now and then making an appearance at Australia Zoo.

It was there that Robert caught the attentions of the world, as he fed the crocodiles in a live show, but what struck people most was the similarity between himself and his late father.

Sharing two photos to Twitter, Robert explained how the crocodile he fed was the very same one that Steve fed in the same place, 15 years earlier.

It’s amazing how things work at and it goes without saying that Robert’s dad would be dangerously proud of him.

The replies were pretty lovely…

And then there was this one…

Nice.
