Recently, we brought you the news that Netflix had another terrifying horror series in the pipeline, reportedly scarier than ‘The Conjuring.’

You may take that comparison with a pinch of salt but check out the trailer and then get back to me.

Told you – bloody scary.

From the looks of the trailer, Marianne is a centuries-old monster who, despite appearing to have been dead and buried at some point in history, lives on in ghostly form to torment young Emma through visions of blood-stained corpses, Force-choking her friends and sneaking into her room late at night with a knife and a creepy chuckle.

As Marianne is an episodic series rather than a film, it looks like Emma’s feud with the monstrous Marianne will either continue over multiple seasons or follow a True Detective-style anthology route that deals with a different casts in a different setting.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Lured back to her hometown, a famous horror writer discovers that the evil spirit who plagues her dreams is now wreaking havoc in the real world.

And good news: it’s just dropped on Netflix today – meaning you can binge on it all this weekend!

On Friday 13th as well – it’s almost like they knew what they were doing.

There aren’t many reviews just yet, but early musings on Twitter seem to confirm the news that it’s scary as balls.

As I say, people seem pretty terrified by it.

Anyway, let me know what it’s like as I will definitely not be watching it.

I’m an absolute wuss who couldn’t even get through the first episode of The Haunting Of Hill House –  there’s nay chance I’m sitting through this.
