I’m a man of my word. You can’t take that away from me.
It’s sort of goof news for me then that The Boys season 2 has nearly been finished, which means we can watch it – hopefully – within the next couple of months.
Taking to Twitter, showrunner Erik Kripke announced the news saying:
“I get asked a lot, so #TheBoysTV update: finishing #Season2 remotely. Still some VFX & sound to do, but we’re SO CLOSE! Airdate (& other cool shit) will be announced SOON!“
Happy days then!
I enjoyed the first season of The Boys. I think it went too far trying to be edgy, to the point where most of the gore was pointless and there’s entirely naked people on the screen just… because, but yeah, it was mostly good.
I’m not a prude, I want to make that perfectly clear; I’m just not a huge fan of how every TV show since Game of Thrones has learned that they’re allowed to be a bit naughty and now they’re all dialling it up to eleven.
Previously producer Seth Rogan spoke about the upcoming season and what we can expect, saying:
“They already have more resources for the second season. They’re adding more characters, the scope of the show organically grows as the show continues. We just watched, actually, the first episode of the second season this week. It was a wonderful thing as producers. This is way better than I ever could’ve hoped it would be.
“With a show like The Boys, especially, where the tone is so unique, for the actors to be able to watch the show and to see like, ‘Oh, that’s what it is.’ It allows them to come back completely locked into it“.
If we’re to believe Karl Urban, then The Boys season 2 will be:
“The Boys 2 – On yer telle mid 2020“.
So now then?
