The show follows FBI agents Holden Ford and Bill Tench as they attempt to understand and catch serial killers by studying their damaged psyches. Along the way, the agents pioneer the development of modern serial-killer profiling.
This season, amongst other things, focuses heavily of the Charles Manson Family who were responsible for the death of Sharon Tate and a few others, and the trailer for season two provides a glimpse of Manson himself behind bars.
David Berkowitz, aka the Son of Sam, also shows up, as well as the BTK Killer. Along with that, Ford and Tench will dissect the Atlanta Child Murders, where 28 people – most of whom were children – were killed in Atlanta from 1979-1981.
