Timed perfectly to be released just before the US elections, the new Borat movie was released last night just an hour before the second Presidential debate, and it’s already ruffling feathers.

Borat 2, or Borat Subsequent Moviefilm is out on Amazon Prime and has caused controversy around Rudy Giuliani, after a scene where he reclines on a bed while in a room with an actress posing as a reporter and Borat’s daughter, Tutar, played by Maria Bakalova.

Giuliani is the former Mayor of New York and is Donald Trump’s personal lawyer and has posted a rebuttal on Twitter.

Here’s the clip in question…

Sacha Baron Cohen posted on Twitter in character as Borat, sarcastically defending Giuliani.

He says: “I here to defend America’s Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, what was an innocent sexy time encounter between a consenting man and my 15-year-old daughter has been turned into something disgusting by fake news media… I warn you. Anyone else tries this and Rudolph will not hesitate to reach into his legal briefs and whip out his subpoenas.”

Giant 40ft long inflatable versions of Borat have been popping up around the world to promote the film, too.

Here are some of the reactions so far:

Have you watched it yet?
