I’m neither famous nor active on social media but if I were then this is exactly the kind of behaviour I’d engage in.

Both Elon Musk and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson are good, wholesome men. This we know.

One of them is a pioneering engineer whose SpaceX and Tesla companies are revolutionising humanity and the way we look at the future, and the other looks really good with an explosion behind him.

To be fair The Rock also does some stellar charity work and spends his free time with the kiddies. Didn’t mean to do him dirty there.

Until now, both men have been great institutes in their own right, but now a weird and unsettling fusion of the two has happened on social media and it’s causing quite a stir.

Elon recently tweeted a bizarre set of photographs of his face Photoshopped onto the body of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson with the caption “Yeah, I lift a little …

I can’t unsee it. It’s too weird.

I’ve forgotten what The Rock looks like. All I can picture is Elon’s face.

Unsurprisingly, Twitter had a field day with this, and it quickly became a new meme.

But the fun didn’t stop there.

The Rock responded and now the two seem like they’ve become best friends. It’s glorious.

He even calls him a ‘handsome SOB’.

And now they’re going out for tequila and steak. Imagine being at that dinner.

It’s weird, as a non-celeb I always assume that all celebs know eachother. Whether they’ve met at an award show or some glitzy event or just backstage at a concert, no matter what field they’re in, famous people know famous people.

Even if it’s the Dalai Lama and Gaz from Geordie Shore I’m like, ‘yeah, they’ve probably bumped into eachother somewhere along the line’, so it surprises me that these two haven’t crossed paths before.

Is it me who’s still deeply disturbed by a hybrid of the two, though?
