Elisabeth Moss Returns to Gilead in ‘Handmaid’s Tale’ Season 3 Trailer

Hulu’s Emmy award-winning drama The Handmaid’s Tale is back for its third season and from the first look, sh*t is about to go OFF in Gilead.

Last season, Offred — or June — chose to remain in Gilead after being given an opportunity to escape with her newborn child, and now she’s feeling the consequences of that choice.

With the tagline ‘Witness the birth of a revolution’, we now see Offred head back to help the resistance movement, all the while trying save her daughter Hannah from growing up in the authoritatian state.

“At least there’s hope if I’m still here,” she says in the trailer.

Her other daughter, Nicole, appears to arrive safely in Canada, with the trailer ending with Offred looking out over an army of handmaids in front of what used to be the Washington Monument, now a massive cross overlooking the national mall in DC.

People were pretty excited when it dropped:

The Handmaid’s Tale returns on 5 June in the US and at a later date TBC in the UK.
